How Caliber is bringing together a nationwide repair network and integrated technology to keep fleets moving

Starting as a small regional collision repair company, Caliber has grown into the nation’s largest collision repair provider. With more than 1850 locations and over 30,000 teammates, the company is dedicated to helping people get back on the road and back to what matters most. That growth has been driven by a combination of operational excellence, strategic investment, and a strong culture focused on people, quality, and customer care. Throughout it all, Caliber has remained committed to delivering high-quality, reliable repairs while continuing to invest in the future of vehicle technology.

Today, the company operates one of the country’s most comprehensive automotive service portfolios, offering collision repair, auto glass services, advanced diagnostics and calibrations through Protech Automotive Solutions, fleet services, and mobile repair capabilities. The automotive repair industry is undergoing one of the most significant periods of change in its history. Advances in vehicle design, safety systems, connectivity, and electrification are reshaping how repairs are performed and managed, while customer expectations continue to evolve with demands for greater transparency, faster communication, and more convenient service experiences. At the same time, the increasing complexity of today’s vehicles is driving greater coordination across repair disciplines, technologies, and service providers.

A dedicated business line for fleets

That complexity lands hardest on the operators who run vehicles for a living. In May 2026, Caliber consolidated its fleet work into a dedicated business line — Caliber Fleet Solutions — bringing collision repair, auto glass, diagnostics, ADAS calibration and mobile service under a single point of coordination for commercial operators. It is available now across Caliber’s national footprint of more than 1850 centers in 41 states.

The platform behind it is Caliber’s own. The Caliber Fleet Solutions platform gives operators a single system for intake, scheduling, real-time status tracking and coordination across the network — in place of the chain of phone calls, emails and separate vendor portals fleet managers typically work through. Its repair orchestration capabilities are supported by Fixico, an Amsterdam-based technology partner supporting fleet and insurer repair management in 12 countries.. Caliber has built that capability into a US operating model spanning its own centers, mobile units and centralized support.

“The traditional fleet repair model is being challenged,” says Brent Jones, Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations at Caliber. “Historically, it has operated through fragmented networks, disconnected workflows, inconsistent communication, and multiple handoffs that create unnecessary downtime and administrative burden for fleet operators. As vehicles become more complex and operational expectations continue to rise, that model is simply not sustainable long term.”

What Caliber is building in its place pairs the national repair network with digital coordination, advanced diagnostics and calibration capability, glass and mobile service and centralized support. Mobile and on-demand capacity is expanding in particular, because a good deal of work can be performed closer to where vehicles operate — reducing disruption and shortening return-to-service times.

The business line is already in market. Caliber Fleet Solutions was a Platinum sponsor at Samsara Beyond in Las Vegas in June, running live demonstrations of the coordination platform for fleet operators, with further capability planned as fleet requirements evolve.

Consumers, insurers, OEMs and fleet operators now expect repair providers to deliver not only high-quality workmanship but also real-time visibility into repair progress and coordination across multiple services and markets. These shifts present Caliber with both a challenge and an opportunity, driving investment in technology-enabled solutions, operational integration, and expanded service capabilities.

“Our growth strategy is centered on preparing Caliber for the future of vehicle repair, and fleet is an important part of that vision,” says Brent Jones. “We’re investing across three key areas: workforce, integration, and technology. From a technology standpoint, we’re investing in connected capabilities that improve repair coordination, visibility, and the customer experience – particularly for fleet customers operating across multiple markets. That includes investments in centralized intake, workflow management, digital communication tools, AI-assisted processes, and connected digital capabilities that help orchestrate repairs more efficiently. We’re also focused on integrating our various service offerings – collision repair, glass, diagnostics, calibrations, and mobile services – into a more connected ecosystem.

Fleet customers want fewer handoffs, fewer disconnected vendors, and more accountability across the repair journey. At the same time, workforce development remains foundational because none of this works without highly trained teammates capable of repairing increasingly sophisticated vehicles safely and properly.”

Sustained investment in the technical capabilities is required to repair today’s increasingly sophisticated vehicles. EV platforms, ADAS technologies, sensors, cameras, and software-driven systems have fundamentally changed what a proper repair entails. Caliber has responded by investing heavily in technician training, OEM certifications, tooling, diagnostics, and calibration capabilities – many of which are delivered through its subsidiary Protech Automotive Solutions. As vehicles become more technologically advanced, proper scanning, calibration, and validation are no longer optional; they are critical to vehicle safety and performance. “The future belongs to repairers who can combine scale, technical expertise, data, and operational discipline while maintaining a relentless focus on safe, proper repairs,” Brent notes.

While technology and operational scale are central to Caliber’s strategy, the company believes its greatest competitive advantage remains its people. With engaged teammates, strong leadership, and a culture built around shared purpose, the organization is well-aligned – and that alignment has been recognized externally. Caliber recently earned a place on Forbes’ Best Large Employers list, a reflection of the depth of investment the company makes in its people.

“We’re incredibly proud of that recognition because it reflects the experience of our teammates,” Brent says. “At Caliber, culture starts with people sharing a common purpose, and for us, that purpose is ‘Restoring the Rhythm of Your Life’. The result is an environment where teammates feel supported, developed, and connected. We invest heavily in leadership development, training, career growth, recognition programs, and creating opportunities for teammates to grow and advance across the organization.

“We also believe transparency, communication, and accountability matter. As we’ve grown, we’ve remained focused on maintaining a culture that feels collaborative and mission-driven. From a customer service perspective, we understand that many customers are interacting with us during a stressful moment in their lives following an accident. Our responsibility is not only to repair the vehicle properly, but to help restore peace of mind and to get them back to their rhythm. That mindset drives our focus on communication, repair quality, cycle time, convenience, and empathy throughout the customer journey.”

That sense of purpose extends beyond the repair floor. Caliber’s 15th annual Restoring You™ Food Drive provided 9.3 million meals to 223 food banks this year, beating a goal of 8.5 million, and teammates continue to refurbish and donate vehicles to veterans, first responders and families in need through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program. From a single collision repair business to a comprehensive automotive services company, Caliber has built its growth on scale, technical expertise, and a people-first culture. From investments in advanced diagnostics and digital technologies to the expansion of Caliber Fleet Solutions, the company is helping shape the future of vehicle repair – without losing sight of the purpose that has guided it since day one.

“Five years from now, the automotive repair industry will look fundamentally different than it does today. Vehicles will be increasingly connected, software-driven, and technologically complex, while operational expectations around uptime, visibility, and efficiency will continue to rise. Our vision is for Caliber to help lead that transformation – combining national scale, advanced technical expertise, and connected digital capabilities into a seamless operating model for customers and partners,” Brent concludes.

Guided by a clear purpose and a commitment to excellence, Caliber remains focused, above all, on the people and communities it serves – restoring the rhythm of lives, one repair at a time.
