Trueline Products: A legacy of Innovation and craftsmanship

As Trueline Products celebrates its 30th anniversary, it reflects on an incredible journey of innovation, growth, and dedication to quality. Founded in 1994 by Steve and Anita Mares, what began as a humble endeavor in a small unit in Telford, UK, has grown into a thriving family business and a market leader in bespoke architectural fabrications and external wall insulation (EWI) profiles.

A proud member of Made in Britain, Trueline embodies the excellence of UK manufacturing. Over the past three decades, the company has built a reputation for crafting high-quality, custom solutions for the construction industry while staying true to its core values of family, innovation, and integrity. This year, Trueline was honored to be named a finalist in the Lloyds Bank British Excellence Award 2024, a testament to its commitment to outstanding performance and customer satisfaction.

Trueline specializes in designing and manufacturing bespoke architectural fabrications, EWI render beads, and profile solutions for developers, architects, and construction companies. These products not only enhance the aesthetics of buildings but also ensure structural integrity, energy efficiency, and long-term durability.

All products are manufactured at Trueline’s state-of-the-art plant in Kidderminster, with a trade depot located in Glasgow, Scotland. The company ensures reliable delivery across the UK, bringing products directly to site with efficiency and care.

As an independent, family-owned company, Trueline places a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, communication, and timely delivery. The team’s hard work and dedication have earned the trust of clients across the UK, with a significant portion of projects coming from repeat customers who value Trueline’s quality and reliability.

“Our journey over the past 30 years has been shaped by resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” says Steve Mares. “We’re proud to be a family business that prioritizes relationships – whether with our team, customers, or suppliers – and this has been the foundation of our success.”

With a plethora of high-profile projects in its portfolio, Trueline continues to exceed customer expectations. The company is proud to have worked on a project at Afton Court in Stevenson, North Ayrshire. Afton Court is a fantastic example of innovative design, and Trueline was thrilled to have worked alongside its long-term partner to bring customized fabrications to life for their new amenity bungalows. These bungalows were built using a modular construction method, making the process efficient and effective, creating a positive impact on people’s lives. The Trueline team designed and manufactured bespoke oversills, trims, and box section systems, which have become widely recognized for their energy efficiency benefits in various council regeneration projects. To meet the overall brief, Trueline used its in-house powder coating system to give the fabricated flashings the perfect color, meeting the customer’s exact preferences and ensuring long-lasting quality.

Another notable project involved working alongside a long-term partner at the Heathfield School in Ascot. This project required the company to create a completely bespoke design; from site survey through to product design and manufactured fascia, soffits, guttering and rainwater pipes to totally transform the development with a stylish and modern system. With Trueline’s extensive knowledge and expertise, the team has delivered a cost-effective solution, on time and on budget.

Trueline was also proud to be chosen to work with the main contractor on the second phase of the distinctive, state-of-the-art training and teaching facility of Brighton and Hove Football Club in Lancing, East Sussex. As part of Albion’s continued commitment to the women’s team, the club needed to expand to accommodate the women’s and girls’ facility. This high-profile project was complex but Trueline’s design team, with its attention to detail, even on the most challenging jobs, ensured a first-class finish. The team designed and manufactured the bespoke copings to meet the project’s exact specifications, enhancing architectural features and providing all-weather protection.

Trueline is much more than a manufacturing company – it’s a close-knit community grounded in family principles and an unwavering commitment to innovation. At the heart of Trueline’s success are its deeply rooted values. The company places a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, proudly operating as a Living Wage Employer to ensure fair pay and a supportive work environment that values every team member. Trueline is also proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant, recognizing and honoring those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and ensuring they are treated with fairness and respect.

Alongside this, Trueline is dedicated to continuous improvement, consistently investing in state-of-the-art machinery, advanced technology, and training programs to stay at the forefront of a competitive industry. Beyond the workplace, Trueline takes pride in engaging with the wider community, supporting local charities, organizing team-building events, and spearheading fundraising initiatives that make a meaningful difference. Together, these values create a company culture that fosters growth, collaboration, and positive change.

As Trueline enters its fourth decade, the company remains focused on its mission: to be the preferred choice for innovative manufacturing solutions. By fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, Trueline is committed to exceeding customer expectations, delivering exceptional quality, and driving positive change in the construction industry.

With 30 years of experience behind it, Trueline is poised to continue its upward trajectory, providing superior products and services that make a lasting impact.
