VENTS-US has grown from a small manufacturing enterprise to an industry leading ventilation company VENTS-US is the North American division of a global leader in ventilation manufacturing, backed by nearly 30 years of industry expertise. Founded in Ukraine in 1996, the company began with a simple mission: to engineer high-performance ventilation systems that improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency. What started as a small operation has since evolved into one of the most trusted names in ventilation systems worldwide. “While raw materials are sourced from elsewhere,” begins Zoltan Bodor, “assembly takes place in our Ukrainian facility. Despite a current shortage in the workforce, we’re not losing productivity, and the US is still in continuous receipt of products. We also have manufacturing facilities in Germany, Poland, and Hungary, in addition to a dedicated facility in China that exclusively serves the local market.” Today, the company’s US operations are based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where warehousing and sales operations are managed, as well as support for the entire Americas, including the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. VENTS-US is a part of the international group of companies, Blauberg Group, which is widely represented on all continents and has production facilities in five countries around the world. Blauberg Group is a fast-growing international group in the field of ventilation. This affiliation allows VENTS-US to implement the best European experience in creating modern ventilation systems and gain popularity for its products in various markets. “We focus on delivering energy-efficient, high-performance ventilation solutions for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications,” Zoltan shares. “Our mission is simple: to help create healthier, more comfortable indoor environments through better airflow and innovative design.” Extensive product portfolio VENTS-US offers a comprehensive range of ventilation products, ranging from centralized and single-room heat and energy recovery ventilators to inline duct fans, radon mitigation solutions, dryer booster fans, and accessories, among other things. Some of the company’s most popular products include the GK LD and GK MA exhaust fan series, which are designed specifically for enclosed spaces like garages and workshops to help exhaust harmful fumes and improve indoor air quality. It’s a plug-and-play fan that’s energy efficient and easy to install. Likewise, known for their durability and high airflow, VENTS-US’ VK and VKM inline duct fans are widely used in HVAC boosting and exhaust applications. A proven customer favorite, the Frigate ERV 120 EC, is a high-efficiency, whole-house recovery ventilator featuring a built-in enthalpy core that delivers up to 165 CFM – ideal for both residential and light commercial applications. For commercial and industrial projects, the AirVENTS Series is the go-to solution, offering eight standard-sized heat recovery units with various configurations, delivering airflow between 350 and 5300 CFM. For larger applications, custom-built non-standard units are available, providing airflow capacity of up to 75,000 CFM with high efficiency. These units feature sealed plastic counter-flow heat exchangers as well as enthalpy exchangers in crossflow, counter-flow, and rotary wheel configurations. Equipped with energy-saving EC fans and integrated Carel controls, the system allows for easy web-based interface access and ensures stable operation in all climate conditions. “In many of the facilities where we work, whether it’s a warehouse, gym, or distribution center, you’ll find gas heaters mounted near the ceiling, causing most of the heat to remain trapped overhead,” Zoltan explains. “This results in uneven temperatures and wasted energy, especially during colder months. That’s where our DRF Series, or ‘Bucket Fans,’ make a real difference. By bringing that trapped heat back down, energy savings can reach 20-to-30-percent, depending on the space.” The TwinFresh Series provides an indoor air quality (IAQ) solution for individual, single-room applications. It’s a great fit for spaces without ductwork, like bedrooms, offices, and other communal spaces. While the TwinFresh Comfo offers similar benefits in a more compact form: perfect for retrofit jobs or apartments where wall thickness is limited to four.” Easy-to-install solutions Alongside these products, the company carries radon mitigation fans, dryer booster fans, supply and exhaust hoods, backdraft dampers, ERV and HRV controls, and smart-enabled accessories, like CO₂ sensors, to give installers everything they need to complete any project. VENTS-US’ products are built with both the contractor and end user in mind. For construction and manufacturing settings, a key benefit is easy installation, as most of the company’s systems come with brackets, plug-and-play wiring, and flexible control options. Likewise, with compact, high-performance design, the systems are great for space-constrained areas or retrofit applications. In terms of energy efficiency and code compliance, VENTS-US meets modern ventilation and IAQ standards without overcomplicating the installation process. The company’s products save time, energy, and call-backs, which makes a big difference for busy construction crews. Collaborative approach Ventilation plays a huge role in improving both energy performance and occupant health. Many of VENTS-US’ products include EC motors for energy efficiency, as well as smart controls and sensors to optimize runtime, for example. These features help reduce HVAC system loads and emissions while also improving indoor air quality. “For approximately 25 percent of our products, we also use recycled plastics,” Zoltan adds. “We listen to our customers, as well as our contractors, engineers, and distributors who are out in the field every day. Their feedback directly influences our product development. We pair that insight with a strong global R&D team that focuses on efficiency, smart tech, and adaptability. By staying in tune with building code changes and industry trends, we’re able to introduce solutions that not only meet the latest requirements but also make installations easier and more efficient.” Retrofitting is all about flexibility, which is why many VENTS-US products feature slim, low-profile designs, interchangeable duct collars, and universal wiring and control compatibility. When a project presents unexpected constraints, the company works directly with contractors to offer real-time support or tailor a product configuration to fit. It’s that collaborative approach that sets VENTS-US apart. Currently, VENTS-US operates with a centralized office and warehouse in Cincinnati. This model has allowed the company to keep lead times short and inventory levels strong. “That said,” Zoltan shares, “we are actively exploring US-based manufacturing options. Bringing production stateside would improve lead times even further, reduce exposure to global freight and tariff fluctuations, allow more flexibility in custom orders, and support local projects and sustainability goals. It’s a strategic move that we’re excited about, especially as our US demand continues to grow.” Growth and optimization Alongside improvements in product efficiency, VENTS-US is undertaking several projects, as well as ensuring its website will be equipped with round-the-clock digital support software designed to answer customer enquiries, connect them to their desired department, help them find products, troubleshoot issues, and offer access to spec sheets, amongst other service needs. 2025 is shaping up to be a year of growth and optimization for VENTS-US. The company is enhancing contractor tools and spec libraries, expanding its US distribution network, promoting its motor and fans manufacturing division and improving the functionality of its equipment selection software. VENTS-US will also be establishing AirVENTS manufacturing inline fan assembly in the US, while continuing to invest in smart-enabled, energy-efficient ventilation solutions and building closer relationships with architects, builders, and design-build teams. “We’re focused on being more responsive, more efficient, and more accessible than ever before,” Zoltan explains. “We’re already a trusted name in ventilation across North America, and in five years, we aim to elevate that leadership even further. That vision includes US-based manufacturing and assembly, broader product categories tailored to American construction needs, and stronger integration with smart home and commercial systems. We will build on our reputation for supporting healthy, energy-efficient, code-compliant buildings, alongside manufacturing and assembling high-quality motors in the United States. “We want to be the brand contractors and builders ask for by name,” Zoltan concludes. “We take considerable pride in what we do, and at the core of every project, we’re here to make sure the air we breathe is clean, fresh, and delivered efficiently.” www.vents-us.com 5 June 20253 June 2025 Iain Zoltan Bodor, VENTS-US, Ohio, Ventilation, 236, AirVENTS Series 7 min read EngineeringInsights
