Victorian Sliders: Framing the future with innovation and excellence

As Europe’s largest manufacturer of vertical sliding windows, Victorian Sliders has spent nearly two decades redefining the industry standard. With a steadfast focus on quality and a unique in-house manufacturing process, the company leads the way in delivering high-performance, customisable window solutions. CEO Nick Evans reflects on the company’s journey: “Victorian Sliders was founded in 2005 with a clear vision to create premium vertical sliding windows. From the outset, the team invested heavily in research and design, determined to bring something truly innovative to the market. Today, our flagship product, the ECOSlide PVC-U vertical sliding sash window, reflects that commitment to excellence, offering unparalleled performance and timeless style.”

A key differentiator for Victorian Sliders is its exceptional in-house capabilities. “We extrude our own profiles, foil or spray to the customers’ preferred colours, fabricate the frames, and produce the glass – all within our 240,000-square-foot facility in Ammanford,” Evans explains. “Unlike most manufacturers, we handle every stage of the production process ourselves. From curved frames to bespoke sprayed finishes, everything is done under one roof. This allows us to maintain full control over quality, customisation, and sustainability.”

Victorian Sliders operates exclusively as a manufacturer and fabricator, supplying its products to trade professionals, housing associations, and local authorities. “We don’t install the windows ourselves,” Evans emphasises. “Instead, we work with trusted partners and trade counters who specialise in window installation and specification, ensuring our products are fitted to the highest standards. Vertical sliding windows are more complex to install than traditional casement windows, so we only work with certified, experienced customers to protect the integrity of our product.”

The company’s single-product focus has been a strategic choice. “We’ve invested all our energy into perfecting the ECOSlide range, making it customisable to suit virtually any home design,” says Evans. “By concentrating on one product, we’ve been able to achieve a level of quality that sets us apart. Whether for a period property or a contemporary home, ECOSlide windows combine heritage aesthetics with modern performance.”

Sustainability and innovation drive the future

Victorian Sliders has also made strides in sustainability, recently adding an in-house recycling plant to reduce waste and reuse materials. The company has refined its manufacturing processes, introducing new equipment for foiling and seaming, while continuing to uphold the highest standards of certification and quality. This investment and dedication to sustainability has been recognised with two nominations for Sustainability Initiatives of the Year with both the National Recycling Awards UK and the G24 Awards (the leading Fenestration Awards).

Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, the company plans to expand its product line while staying true to its core values. “We’re preparing to launch exciting new products and product enhancements early next year, just in time to celebrate our 20th anniversary,” Evans reveals. “This marks the next step in broadening our market reach and ensuring our long-term success.”

With nearly 20 years of innovation and excellence under its belt, Victorian Sliders is poised for continued growth as Europe’s leading specialist in vertical sliding sash windows – delivering timeless solutions for the homes of today and tomorrow.
